The role of the supervisor/team leader is to:
- supervise and assist in the development of care staff
- ensure that standards of care and support are maintained to a professional level and are meeting the service user individual needs
- monitor and spot check care/support workers in the course of their duties
- monitor the standard and level of satisfaction of the service being delivered to ensure that quality standards in our community are maintained
work as part of a care team
It is essential that Supervisors/Team Leaders spend 90-95% of their working week in the field, the remainder being spent in the office to complete the necessary administration.
Supervisors/team leaders may be required to work a shift system or to vary their hours of work.
