We know how complicated and stressful it can be when you start to realise that your loved one is in need of a little more support, and you may just need a little friendly advice on how you wade through the many choices and options available to you - that’s where we come in. At Care 1st Homecare our dedicated and compassionate team are available on the phone, on hand to listen, offer advice and explain how live-in care works so that you can make an informed choice that is right for you and your family. Call us on 0117 968 4809, we're on hand to offer free advice.
If you feel live-in care is right for you, we’ll set up an initial meeting, at a place and time to suit you and your loved one. We want you to feel fully involved from day one; our live-in care packages are highly adaptive, and we work alongside you to ensure that they are perfectly tailored and fit with your loved one’s individual needs.
Your Live-in Care Manager will then take away all of the information, write a live-in care support plan, and propose a live-in carer who they feel will fit in with your loved one’s lifestyle, likes and dislikes. Once you and your Care Manager have settled on a live-in carer, support plan and start date, the live-in carer will move into your loved one’s home, so that they are there 100% of the time - on hand; round-the-clock. Your carer will need a bedroom so that they have somewhere to retire at night, and so that your loved one can have a little time to themselves as and when they need it.
If you'd like a confidential chat about how live-in care could work for you and your family, we provide live-in care across the South West, from Wiltshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire and the surrounding areas, call us on 0117 968 4809 today.
It goes without saying that your carer will need a daily break. We are able to offer you support from one of our highly trained visiting carers from one of our visiting care branches in Bristol, Swindon, Berkshire or Gloucester. Our visiting carers can pop in to give your live-in carer a break, alternatively you can stop by for a visit to relieve the live-in carer should you wish; it’s entirely your choice how we make this work together. Your personal live-in carer will then support your loved ones' in any way they need, supporting them to cook and clean, or doing this for them if they prefer, it really is led by you and your loved one’s needs.
It’s important to note that not all care providers offer a regulated service. Many agencies offer an ‘introductory service’ and their costs may appear lower. They simply ‘introduce’ you to a carer and leave you to the rest, meaning that you will need to look after their pay, pension, holidays and sickness cover, handle any issues or concerns yourself. You’ll need to write the support plans and arrange any training needs too. A fully managed service, however, like the service offered by Care 1st Homecare is exactly that: a ‘fully managed service’ - this means we take care of everything for you, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. We take care of pay, sickness cover, holidays, training needs, appraisals and coaching, so that you can just concentrate on being a family. A fully managed service offers you and your loved one’s peace of mind and reassurance.
